How are these two purchases any different than all the mid/late life crisis Boomers paying ungodly sums for old Mopar and ‘Murican muscle cars?

Because this time the values definitely won’t go down. Not like some silly mopar product. Or a house. Or a hedge fund. Nope. Definitely not.

Someone who passed their driving test the same year Gran Turismo came out isn’t even 40 yet - there’s a long time before everyone who cares about these things gets too old to drive.
People paying crazy money for Supras might be in a spot of bother if RHD ones for ~10k NA, ~20k Turbo start showing up, but in general this kind of stuff isn’t going to come down any time soon unless the global economy totally tanks again.
